It brings closure to experiences, deepens our connection with others, and aligns us with a positive outlook for the future. As the final day of this advent journey, Day 24 is a moment to celebrate all that you’ve uncovered about yourself over the past 23 days. It’s also an opportunity to express gratitude for your inner work and set intentions for the year ahead.
Activity 1: Reflecting on Your Advent Journey
Spend 10–15 minutes reflecting on your advent experience as a whole. You can revisit journal entries or meditate on the following questions:
"What have I learned about myself during this advent journey?"
"What practices or insights have been most meaningful to me?"
"How have I grown or changed through these 24 days of introspection?"
Activity 2: Guided Gratitude Meditation (15 minutes)
Focus: Cultivating appreciation for yourself, others, and the world around you.
Visualization:
Find a quiet, comfortable space to sit or lie down.
Begin by focusing on your breath, feeling it flow in and out naturally.
Visualize a warm light in your chest, growing brighter with each breath. This light represents gratitude.
As the light grows, imagine it spreading to encompass:
Yourself: Thank yourself for showing up for this advent journey. Appreciate your courage to self-reflect and grow.
Loved ones: Picture each person who has supported you this year. Send them warmth and gratitude.
The world: Extend your light outward to encompass your community, nature, and the world.
Activity 3: A Celebration of You
Today is a day to honor and celebrate yourself for committing to this 24-day journey.
Do something you love that feels like a celebration—light a candle, sip your favorite tea, take a long bath, or write yourself a letter of appreciation.
Write down one thing you are proud of yourself for each day of this advent journey. If a day was challenging, honor the effort you made.
Activity 4: Visioning the Future
Close your advent experience by envisioning the year ahead.
Journaling Prompt 1: "What do I want my life to look and feel like in 2024?"
